Celem badań, przeprowadzonych w latach 2006-2008, było porównanie wartości odżywczej owoców ukraińskich i litewskich odmian porzeczki czarnej z odmianą szwedzką Titania w warunkach północno-wschodniej Polski. W jagodach badanych odmian porzeczki określono zawartość suchej masy, antocyjanów, kwasów organicznych, witaminy C oraz cukrów prostych i ogółem. Analiza statystyczna wyników wykazała wysoce istotne zróżnicowanie składników zarówno między odmianami, jak i w latach badań. Największą średnią zawartość składników dla odmian, z wyjątkiem kwasów organicznych, zanotowano w 2006 roku. Najwyższą średnią zawartością suchej masy w latach prowadzenia badań charakteryzowały się owoce odmian: Wernisaż (17,77%), a także Imaliai (17,49%) i Tauriai (17,10%). Najmniej suchej masy zanotowano w owocach odmiany Almin (14,96%) oraz odm. Czernecza, Sofijewska i Viciai (15,40-15,45%). Wysoce istotne różnice odnotowano także w ilości antocyjanów, których średnia zawartość dla odmian w 2006 roku wynosiła 153,31 mg∙100 g-1, a w 2008 roku 94,72 mg∙100 g-1. Najwięcej antocyjanów zgromadziły owoce odmiany Ametyst (180,75 mg∙100 g-1), najmniej natomiast było ich w owocach odmiany Czernecza (79,28 mg∙100 g-1). Najmniej cukrów (5,92%), a najwięcej kwasów (3,66%), jagody badanych odmian porzeczki zgromadziły w 2007 roku. Był to rok, który charakteryzował się przygruntowymi przymrozkami jeszcze w ostatnich dniach maja a także największą sumą opadów w okresie wegetacji. Najmniej kwasów organicznych zawierały owoce odmian: Jubilejnaja Kopania (2,31%) i Sofijewska (2,32%) a najwięcej szwedzka odmiana Titania (4,15%) a także odm. Tauriai (3,94%) i odm. Ametyst (3,73%). Najbardziej zasobne w witaminę C były jagody odmian: Almin (244,31 mg∙100 g-1) a także Czernecza (221,85 mg∙100 g-1), najmniej natomiast odm. Tauriai (134,6831 mg∙100 g-1) i odm. Imaliai (137,29 mg∙100 g-1). Najwięcej cukrów ogółem zgromadziły owoce odmian: Dainiai (7,33%) i Sofijewska (7,19%), najmniej natomiast owoce odmian: Blizgai (5,62%) oraz Viciai (6,08%)
