Several countries including Poland evaluate possible scenarios of climate change and their effects on agriculture including aspects of plant protection. The IGBP established activities on Global Change and Terrestrial Ecosystems with activity 3.2 "Global Change Impacts on Pests, Diseases and Weeds" and this programme is especially active in Australia. Possible impacts of global climate change on occurrence, distribution and economic significance of pests, pathogens and weeds in various World regions and in Poland are discussed.
