Based on an analysis of the materials from various institutions and private collections it was found that the hitherto data on the occurrence of H. ruricola (F.) in Poland pertained with certainty to H. alternata Kustl. Information on H. alternata from Lituania, Ukraina and Czech Republic found in the material examined is also given.
