Within the framework of own research carried out by the Warsaw Agricultural University (SGGW), there was carried out an omnibus-type survey, „Perception of Food Quality by Polish Consumers", on 11-18 January 2007, on a representative sample of 1049 Poles aged 15+. The achieved results of research confirm that contemporary understanding of food quality by consumers may be connected, to the greatest degree, first of all, with the features deciding sensoric attractiveness and healthy values. Hence, different actions undertaken by individual operators of the food chain in meeting consumers' diversified expectations should take these aspects into account.
