Kluczewsko commune is situated in the center of Małopolska upland, on the area of 137 km². Forests are the main attraction of the commune. There are two sanctuaries: Bukowa Mountain with beech-trees (founded in 1959 on the area of 34,94 hectares ) and Murawy Dobromierskie with steppe plants (on the area of 36,29 hectares). In Ciemiętniki, Dobromierz, Januszewice, Kluczewsko you can find several monuments of nature: durmasts, lime-trees, white horse-chestnuts, maple-trees and elms. On the area of Kluczewsko commune there is the Przedborze landscape park founded in 1988. Worth-seeing architecture monuments in the commune are: in Kluczewsko - churches (St. Lawrence - XVIII century and St. Jacob – XIV century), a granary (XIX century) and remains of a manor-house (XVIII century); in Rączki – St. Tekla church (XIV-XV century); in Łapczyna Wola – ruins of an Arian’s Community (XVIII century). Moreover, the great touristic interest makes a rafting on Pilica river. There are still many possibilities of development of Kluczewsko commune, however it should be done on the basis of natural virtues of the commune.

The Koziegłowy commune is situated on the edge of the Kraków-Częstochowa upland, in the line of Silesia upland. In its scenery dominate plains and valleys with Boży Stok, Złoty Stok, Sarni Stok and Brynica rivers. About 17% of the total Koziegłowy commune area is covered by forests. The only in the commune sanctuary “Cisy w Hucie Starej” aims to protect yew-trees and covers an area of 2,1 hectares. A soft and temperate climate is favorable to agriculture. In the city and the commune of Koziegłowy there are several worth-seeing XV- and XVII –century monuments of art. The most important are churches: “Corpus Christi and St. Mary Magdalene”, “St. Barbara” in Koziegłowy; “St. Lawrence” in Cynków and “St. Michael Archangel” in Pińczyce. There are three touristic trials throughout Koziegłowy commune: two of them are bicycle trials and one walking trial. A dominate sport in the commune is cycling. Founded in 1978 a sport club “Błękitni MARCAR Koziegłowy” can be proud of many national representatives in road-, crosscountry- and mountain-cycling. However, the Koziegłowy commune is famous for its handicraft – especially plaiting. In conclusion: in spite of interesting places worth to see in the Koziegłowy commune, its touristic offer is still insufficient.

The purpose of this study was to present a touristic and recreational advantages of the Olsztyn district. Administrative and historical messages, which are content of the paper, can inspire people to tour around this area, or to choose it for a recreational place with full of charm nooks of this district. Numerous tourist trials, pedestrian, horseriding and cycling routes, the landscape par of “Orlich Gniazd” with two natural reserves “Zielona Mountain” and “The Sokole Mountains” or “The Towarne Mountain” and numerous smaller hills, caves, as well as fine-looking flora and fauna enhance touristic and esthetic values of this region. At the time of deep changes in a traditional industry and agriculture, culture, tourism and recreation are the major development factors of the Olsztyn district.
