The paper presents results of the studies on wasps (Hymenoptera: Vespidae) in Pieniny National Park. Based on the collected material, the presence of 14 species of wasps has been established. 5 of them were not recorded in the area before. Vespula vulgaris was the dominant species and represented 96,57% of all the collected wasp specimens. The species composition and the number of collected wasps was different in particular forest communities.
The paper presents information on 5 species of social wasps of the family Vespidae (Hymenoptera) from the Gorce National Park in Southern Poland. The research was carried out during the years 2006-2007. The specimens were collected in 4 main plant communities with the use of Moericke traps.
44 species of digger wasps (Hymenoptera: Sphecidae) are reported from Pieniny National Park (UTM: DV57) in S. Poland. 39 are new for the Pieniny Mts. The specimens were collected in Moericke traps during 1996-1999 on 5 localities in the Park. Pemphredon podagrica CHEVRIER, 1870 is recorded for the first time from Poland. One male was collected on the edge of a woodland with white fir (Carici-Fagetum abietetosum community).
Three species of Malthininae beetles are recorded for the first time from Poland. Malthinus moraviensis ŠVIHLA, 1997 is known from a few localities in South-Western Poland and Western Ukraine; Malthinus turcicus PIC, 1899 was discovered in Pieniny Mts and Ojców National Park, and Malthodes lucernensis WITTMER, 1981 is known in Poland only from Stożek Mt in Beskid Śląski Mts (Western Beskid Mts).
