Manganese, copper, zinc, and iron content was determined in edible parts of 27 species and varieties of wild growing plants taken from the Northern region of Poland. Stone fruits, berry fruits, nuts, and edible leaves contained, on the average: 0.60 - 8.4, 7.1 - 60, 24 - 275, and 5.5 - 100 mg Mn/kg; 0.38-1.9,0.79 - 2.4,9.4 - 14, and 1.2 - 3.5 mg Cu/kg; 0.58 - 4.9,1.9 - 5.9,14 - 27, and 8.6 - 16 mg Zn/kg; 2.5- 15,3,6- 12,20 - 49, and 14-31 mg Fe/kg wet weight, respectively. A high decrease of manganese content was observed in wild strawberries when taken from the woodlands, meadows, and gardens (29 ± 12, 14 ± 2, and 5.5 ± 2.8 mg/kg wet weight, respectively. Manganese content in raspberries when taken from the woodlands and gardens amounted to: 60 ± 29, and 2.8 ± 1.3 mg/kg, respectively.
