Bulls obtained as crossbreds with Charolaise or Hereford cattle, were slaughtered at 450 kg and their fattening and slaughter vane estimated. Crossbreds of early maturing breeds (Hereford) gained more during the grazing season, but less during finishing. As compared with Black - and - White cattle the crossbreds of beef breeds were characterized by higher weight gains and lower food conversion. Howewer, the content of basie cuts in the carcass was similar.
