The studies were conducted on animals experimentally infected (16 pigs, 115 rabbits, 148 guinea pigs, 410 white rats and 9 cats). Investigations were conducted also of animals infected under natural conditions (3 dogs, 5 wolves and 33 foxes). From results of these studies the author draws the following conclusions: 1. In the course of experimental trichinellosis the most intensively infected proved to be in the pig: tha diaphragmatic crura and masseter, in cats: the intercostal muscles and muscles of the proback, in rabbits, guinea pigs and rats: the masseter; during natural infection of the dog, wolf and fox: the diaphragm and muscles of the limbs. A considerable concentration of the larvae Trichinella spiralis occurs in the muscles of the larynx, eyeball, oesophagus and others. 2. A relatively small number of trichinellae was found in the pig in lungs, gastric wall, small intestine, urinary bladder and in brain; in the rabbit and guinea pigs - in the liver and lungs, in the cat - in the retina of the eye and in brain and in rats and guinea plgs - in the contents of the urinary bladder. 3. Trichinellae found in the liver, lungs, gastric wall and intestinal wall of rabbits and guinea pigs proved to be invasive to white mice. 4. The results of the present studies offer a basis to regard as purposeful to take into consideration during trichinoscopy of pig carcasses the possibility of localisation of larvae of trichinellae also in organs deprived of striated muscles.
