Studies carried out for many years in the experimental field in Winna Góra refer to the biocenotic regulation of aphids in agricultural cultivations by aphidophagous Diptera of Syrphidae. Experiments were carried out in conditions of an agricultural lanscape differentiated by the presence of field afforestation.
The effect of chemical plant protection on the occurrence of hoverflies (Diptera: Syrphidae) was studied in 1998 in Winna Góra. The total number of Syrphidae was low on the experimental plantation with lupine and fodder pea treated and untreated by pesticides. Also the number of Syrphidae, was much higher (71.4%) in adjacent marginal habitats. The same site dependence was observed in the species diversity of aphidophagous hoverflies and aphids
