In the Polish apple orchards, dessert cultivars are grown, and apple production varies within wide limits (differences up to twofold), which results in the high price variability and tensions on the market. Prices and production are closely correlated. There are postulates for establishing industrial orchards, as well as introducing "obligatory" contract agreement, which, according to the authors, will not eliminate or reduce the problems between the fruit producer and the processor. It is necessary to adjust production to the market demand.
