Thermoforming makes the process, in which a three-dimensional product is formed from a flat intermediate product. The volume of the material remains constant what signifies that the enlargement of the formed product surface follows at the expense of the wall thickness reduction. In order to determine the stretching degree of the output material in the given product the coefficients of the forming depths for it have to be defined. The applied forming depth coefficients and the way of their determination were discussed. Later on the diameter thicknesses for formed packages with different depths have been measured and compared with the values calculated on the basis of the outlined coefficient. Some examples of application are presented.
