There are several problems associated with European market of transport biofuels, these among others consist of: increasing price of energy substrates, that is first generation biocomponents, alongside rising food prices; increasing share of biocomponents in transport biofuels altogether; the appearance of B7 and E10 biofuels on the market, and import of less expensive biocomponents from United States and Asia. Additionally, the decrease in biofuel sector in view of cheaper non-EU biocomponents supply is accompanied by gradual reduction in excise relief in EU. In the future the low CO₂ emission reduction in EU first generation biofuels might be a problem as well as necessity of switch to second generation biofuels. All the European market turbulence are accompanied by the global market increase.
