The experiment was carried out in 1997 in unheated greenhouse in random block system and four replications. The aim was to check usefulness of four substrates used for the second time in growing two greenhouse cucumber varieties. The study indicated that the yield of greenhouse cucumber grown on used Flormin rockwool, Cultilene glasswool, Inert polyurethane foam and Dinamite foam was high, of good quality and healthy. Very high percentage of 1-st class yield in the total yield was observed for both varieties: the Perła F₁ 82.84-87.54% and Passandra F₁ 84.78%-89.09%. The dynamics of the 1-st class yielding of both varieties was similar.
