The European globeflower (Trollius europaeus), called the rose of the north due to its beautiful yellow flowers, is a perennial common in the moderate climatic zone. However, in Poland its is a rare protected species and its existence is threatened. That is why the authors are happy to record the occurrence of the globeflower on a large area of the Długa mountainous meadow at the foot of the Turbacz in the Gorce Mts.
