Phytological remediation is a technology applied in the cleanup of the environment (soil, groundwater, surface water, wastewater sludge and air) which employs natural properties of plants to collect and accumulate pollutants or degrade them biologically (decompose within plant tissues). The author discusses types of this technology, hopes, advantages, its feasibility, constraints and disadvantages.
