Background: The aim of this study was to develop a research tool used to assess the efficiency a goalkeeper’s actions in a game of futsal. Material/Methods: Author’s own proposal of an observation sheet was created and subject to a validation procedure. To assess intra-rater reliability and inter-rater reliability, the ICC test was used. Results: There was a strong compatibility of ratings of the intra-rater reliability – 1.00 (95% Cl 1.00-1.00) and the inter-rater reliability – 0.99 (95% CI 0.99-1.00), which proves the reliability of the proposed research tool. Conclusions: The developed sheet allows the registration and evaluation of individual performance and cooperation in terms of goalkeeper’s game objectives pursued both in offence and defence.
In the paper a flood phenomenon is analyzed. For this purpose data from GRACE satellites (Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment) was used. Filtered data presented in a form of millimeters of Equivalent Water Thickness (EWT) was interpolated in places where flood in 2010 had happened (south of Poland). On a basis of graph where time series of EWT were presented, some conclusions were made. For the thesis confirmation meteorological WGHM and hydrological NOAA models were added to the GRACE model.
The genus Grillotia Guiart, 1927 is cosmopolitan in its distribution and the type-species, G. erinaceus (van Beneden, 1858), has been relatively well studied. However, this study provides infection indices of Grillotia erinaceus from southern and northern Black Sea whiting Merlangius merlangus for the first time. The specimens of Grillotia erinaceus were obtained from subserosa of the anterior oesophagus, stomach, pyloric caeca, liver, ovaries and mesenterium of whiting caught by commercial fishing vessels off Sinop, Turkey and off Balaklava, Ukraine. Fish were examined during the period from May 2011 to April 2012. Prevalence and mean intensity values in 268 fish collected off Sinop in the Black Sea were 18.66% and 1.82 ± 0.16 parasites per infected fish, respectively. In Ukrainian 166 whiting samples collected off Balaklava in the Black Sea, however, G. erinaceus plerocercus infection prevalence was 10.24% and mean intensity 1.71 ± 0.75 parasites per infected fish. Infection parameters were also determined at both sampling sites in relation with host length, sex and season.
Some parameters of spawning redds and the emergence of lake trout fry were investigated at spawning areas in the upper Wda River system. Redds were located and selected in late fall 2003 and a few of their parameters were identified, i.e., dimensions, water velocity, and grain fraction content. The sand content varied in particular redds from 5.1 to 24.8%. Fry was captured with traps at five of the six observed redds. Trout emerged from late April until mid May when temperatures increased within the range of 11.0-16.0°C. The most numerous trout fry was observed in the two biggest redds, which had less sand and high water velocities.
The results of research into slime moulds in beech forest reserves in Central Poland are presented. Thirty species of slime moulds directly associated with beech wood and beech litter were recorded. Species associated with different decay phases of beech wood and litter were identified.
Important results of the Radio Frequencies Interference (RFI) at the National Space Centre, Sg Lang Selangor, Malaysia has been reported. In order to make sure that the data of solar monitoring in radio region is reliable, we need to study the variation of interference and the possible sources that contribute to this interference. This data has been taken from 1-2000 MHz at the main site of installation e-CALLISTO system. The study is one of a main part of an initiative of e-CALLISTO networking research in order to identify the main RFI sources and to monitor continuously the behavior of the RFI at the site. Our main objective is to qualify the potential of monitoring a continuous radio emission of the Sun. This work is also an initiative of the International Space Weather Initiative (ISWI) project where Malaysia is one of the countries that joined the e-CALLISTO network. Due to our results this site showed the positive impact for the solar monitoring purpose. It is hoped that the survey will continue from time to time in a consistent mode so that any polluted signal for radio astronomy purpose can be protected. Overall, we can still get a good solar burst data, especially at 40-400 MHz. Perhaps, we can contribute the good data for solar burst monitoring towards the maximum cycle beginning the end of this year 2013.
This article provides new morphological and molecular data for Ogma aquitanense (Fies, 1968). This is the first report on the occurrence of this nematode in Poland and the second record in Europe. Our specimens correspond well with those from France described by Fies (1968), and Baujard and Luc (1985). Descriptions of partial sequences of 18S rDNA and 28S rDNA for O. aquitanense are also given.
In December 1998, a group of three lynx Lynx lynx (Linnaeus, 1758), possibly a female with kittens was observed during two nights at a killed roe deer Capreolus capreolus in the Bukovske Vrchy hills, north-eastern Slovakia. There was an apparent feeding order among the lynx, with the largest eating first and the smallest last. Also, the "play-fight behaviour" was observed.
