The film shows macro and microscopic photographs of limestone, dolomite, and serpentinite beds formed in various geological periods. 16 mm color film was used in both cases. Based on macrophotographic pictures, mickrophotographic pictures were performed, using film photography technique, on a universal polarizing microscope Zetopan-Reichert in passing light. The study was document using a very effective - as it turned out - high resolution, high color temperature color Eastmann Kodak 7247 Special negative. Structure and texture studies were conducted on 20 thin samples 0,02 mm in thickness, solid (not pulverized) in order to maintain structural profile. The same amount of negative was allocated for each sample - 5 running meters, or 650 frames, i.e. 27,5 seconds worth in standard 24 frames per second projection, which was sufficient for commentary. The use of film photographic technique for research study documentation, in this case microphotographic polarized light technique using Nicol prisms for structure and texture studies - in the process of photographic dynamics - allows, with virtually every frame, the improvement in picture color and the range of colors in spectral analysis. This greatly facilitates the drawing of correct conclusions with respect to, in this case, structure, texture, and mineralogic composition. Such results would be unobtainable by: 1 - use of a black and white lens, 2 - static photographic picture, as opposed to dynamic filming. This contains the telling sense of the correct use of photographic film technique in respective fields of scientific research.
