35 species of coprophagous beetles were recorded in Wzgórza Trzebnickie Hills in the western part of Poland in 2003. It is about 41% of all species of this group known from Poland. 19 species are new to the region. The studies concern also phenology of imagines. Remarks on more interesting species are included.
The research was conducted in 2014 on the region of Przemyśl. Insects were collected using the floatation and baited trap methods. Based on the data from TRELLA (1937) the occurrence of 54 species of coprofagous Scarabaeoidea was determined. The current research confirmed the presence of 21 species of dung beetle from Geotrupidae and Scarabaeidae families. The disappearance of many species applies mainly to species with higher habitat requirements.
