The authors present new localities of 21 rare or otherwise interesting species of Microlepidoptera from Poland. Hypatopa segnella (ZELL.) is reported as new to the Polish fauna. Blastobasis roscidella (ZELL.) should be removed from the list of Polish Lepidoptera because specimens collected by WOCKE were erroneously determined.

During studies on Collembola fauna of peatlands of the Pomeranian Lake District a great number of rare and interesting species were found. Among them, 22 species were recognised as tyrphobionts (species occurring only on peatlands) and 15 as postglacial relicts. Endonura tetrophtalma lusatica DUNGER, 1966, Isotoma blufusata FJELLBERG, 1978, Sminthurides parvulus (KRAUSBAUER, 1898), Dicyrtomina saundersi (LUBBOCK, 1862) and Heterosminthurus claviger (GISIN, 1958) are new to the Polish fauna.

Two curculionid species are recorded from Poland for the first time: Lignyodes muerlei FERRARI from Łuczyce and Bolestraszyce near Przemyśl (SE Poland), and Anthonomus rubripes GYLL. from Osowiec on the Biebrza river (NE Poland). First records of another 26 species of Urodontidae (1) and Curculionidae (25) from Masurian Lake Region, Podlasie, Sandomierz Lowland and/or East Beskid Mts. are given.

Data on 167 species of Heteroptera collected in the Biebrza River Valley (the best-preserved area of marshes and swamps in Central Europe) are presented. Out of them 25 are for the first time recorded from the Podlasie region. The most interesting species are: Nemocoris falleni SAHLB. (the second record from Poland), Pionosomus varius (WOLFF), Tingis pilosa HUMM., Nabicula lineata (DAHLB.), Stenodema Trispinosum REUT., Adelphocoris ticinensis (M.-D.), Brachycoleus decolor REUT, (recorded from Poland only twice in the present century), Polymerus nigrita (FALL.), P. microphthalmus WAGN., P. palustris REUT., Oncotylus viridiflavus (GOEZE) (the first record since 1936).

Several species of weevils from the Bieszczady Mts. are recorded for the first time from the area. Among them Larinus obtusus and Lixus bardanae are the most interesting. 266 species of weevils have been recorded so far from the Bieszczady Mts.

46 species of coprophagous beetles were recorded during ecological-faunistic studies in the vicinity of Szamotuły (Wielkopolsko-Kujawska Lowland). It is about 54% of coprophagous Scarabaeoidea species occurring in Poland and over 70% of species recorded in this lowland. Remarks on more interesting species are included.

The paper presents faunistic data concerning new localities of 20 Carabidae species, which have been rarely reported so far from the Masurian Lake District. One of these species, Calathus mollis (MARSHAM, 1802) has been reported from this region for the first time. Carabids were collected in an agricultural landscape at two types of field complexes: small fields cultivated in a rather traditional way as well as intensively managed large area fields. The presented data complete and update the knowledge on distribution of Carabidae in the Masurian Lake District.
