The article presents the results of a study of the service industry infrastructure of the select municipalities from the Southeastern macro-region. The study focused in 1993 - 1994 on 64 communities (villages) located within 28 municipalities. The method of social physics and a related concept of service potential were used. The value of the service potential arising from service industry business providing select services for the farming industry and the changes thereof from year to year were determined.
