The aim of this paperwork was the potential risk assessment from farming for natural-valuable ecosystems in Natura 2000 area, based on selected production and environment indicators. There were selected 75 farms located in Dąbrowy Krotoszyńskie (PLH300002) and in zone of direct effect on the NATURA 2000 area, in the Wielkopolska province. In the research data from years 2004–2011 were used. Dąbrowy Krotoszyńskie are located in two nitrogen vulnerable zone’s (NVZ) – Orla river, Czarna Woda and Kuroch rivers. Average size of 75 farms chosen to research was 37.8 ha. All of farms led plant and animal production. In the structure of livestock species predominated cattle (62.1%). Pork accounted for 36.6% share. To hear the current threat to the quality of surface waters from agricultural production for the 26 representative farms were calculated NPK nutrients balance by “on field surface” methodology. The results showed the average balance of nutrients surplus, the group analyzed on the level 121.9 kg N·ha–1 and 47.1 kg K·ha–1, which indicates that macro-components are unsustainable management. Content of phosphorus did not exceed standards. One of the basic environmental indicators in agriculture is a load of farmland nitrogen from manure produced by livestock kept on the farm. Of the 75 surveyed farms only 12% exceeded the recommended standard 170 kg N·ha–1, while in 56% of farms had amount not exceeding 100 kg N·ha–1. In the paper were analyzes the status and the needs for structures to store manure. From the 75 studied farms, only seven had the right size concrete structure for storing solid manure for a period of six months. As many farmers had a suitable tank for liquid manure. Concrete for solid manure did not have 18% of farmers and 73%, there was no tank for liquid manure. This demonstrates the high negligence in this area and the potential risk of migration of nutrients to the environment.
The present study aimed to evaluate microbiological pollution of air with microorganisms belonging to different taxonomic and physiological groups, and to examine whether the effect of the municipal landfill site in Krzyż changes at various study sites located: in so called "zero zone" (operating landfill), at different distances from the landfill and in Tarnów. Municipal landfill site for the city of Tarnów is located in north-eastern part of the city, in Krzyż district, on the ground gently-sloping towards South-East. The present microbiological studies showed wide differences in numbers of bacteria, ranging from 5 x 101 to 439 x 104 colony-forming units (e.f.u.) per 1 m1 of air. Abundance of bacteria was the highest in summer, i.e. in July, August and September (maximum of 7.44 x 101 e.f.u, in August), and at the sites No. 5 and 2 (maximum of 10.46 x 104 e.f.u. at site No. 5).
The aitn of the research was to evaluate the influence of the metallurgy-sulphur railroad (LHS) on some soil properties of the Roztoczański National Park. Special attention was paid to sulphur risks, due to sulphur transport that way, although in smaller quantities as compared to the previous decade. The study Was based on the analysis of basic properties of selected soils and content of total and sulphate sulphur in soif samples taken in 2 cross-section profiles, located 400 and 900 m from the border of the Park and 50, 100, and 150 m from the rails; from 3 levels of forest soils; litter, 0-10 cm, and 30-40 em. Pedological survey indicated that within the study area predominated light soils. They are derived from river sands (mainly gley, gley-podzolic, podzolic soils, and black earth), and contain low amounts of the fine fraction. It was found that the line, which runs across the protected areas of the national park, does not exert nowadays a direct negative influence on the investigated soil properties (C-organic, reaction, mobile aluminium). The amount of total and /sulphate sulphur reniainjjon the level characteristic for such soil types in natural environment. No decrease in the content of both forms of sulphur was found along with the distance of sampling points from the LHS rails.
