Background. Physical activity is a vital component of one’s lifestyle. Therefore, it should be properly diagnosed in students, the future social elites. Material and methods. The study was conducted in 2013 and involved 308 students of Lesya Ukrainka East European National University in Lutsk. The research method was an International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ-S) supplemented with own questions. Results. The study has shown that only 4.5% of Ukrainian students demonstrate a high level of physical activity, 22.1% − average and as many as 73.4% − low. The course of study is not relevant to one’s level of physical activity. Further, it turns out that in subsequent years of study, there is a visible increase in the number of females demonstrating low physical activity. Finally, students from large cities as well as those living in private houses show a higher level of activity. Conclusions. The knowledge on physical activity in students should be taken into account in the didactic process at university.
1690 master's theses were completed at the Institute of Economics and Agriculture Organization by extramural, part-time and lull -lime students. They constituted 23.7% of all M.A. theses written at the Faculty of Agriculture. They were characterized by a goad level- over 83% of them were marked as good and very good. On average, 45.7 research papers were completed at the Institute per year, but their intensity varied considerably (from 6 to 118). They included a wide aspectrum of problems connected with economics and agriculture organization.
A university was examined as an object of informatization, its problem areas of activity were defined, the model of the regional system of control and assurance education quality, which includes systems of monitoring, analyzing and forecasting the statistical data obtained from all the educational institutions in the region, is proposed in this paper.
The contemporary role that higher education institutions play is not limited to educational and scientific research activity. It involves also creating local tourism cultural offer and an offer of spending leisure time for inhabitants and visitors. Therefore the purpose of the article is to describe the activities undertaken by higher education institutions using the example of Krakow. On the basis of the study of source materials it was possible to identify types of enterprise undertaken by higher education institutions, also those involved in cooperation, whose activity depends on academic traditions and potential. As the example of Krakow shows, higher education institutions affect the development of incoming tourism in the three main areas: educational tourism, cultural tourism, and business tourism and MICE industry. They also broaden the offer of spending leisure time in the city directed to the inhabitants, students and tourists. Academic potential influences the function and image of the city in the national and international arena. Thus it seems necessary to include higher education institutions in the development of a local tourism offer and cultural animation of the city life.
Res с uch works constituted an important part of the activity of the Institute of Economics and Agriculture Organization. They were carried out with different intensity, which was primarily connected with a changeable policy towards the research activity of universities. What follows, the range and subject matters of the conducted research varied as well.
An example of Corporate Social Responsibility of university - activity of Faculty of Wood Technology WULS - SGGW. The goal of the paper was to analyse the level and range of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of university. As an example the meeting with key employers was examined, to support the development of faculty’s didactics by adjusting the teaching program and the profile of graduate to further employer’s demands.
Subject and purpose of work: Explanation of the necessity of tight educational integration at the secondary and third degree level as the basis of positive continuation of the process of education which supports creation of innovative economy. The subject of analysis are the forms of realization of educational activity and protective mechanisms directed at elaborating qualified specialists for innovative economy. Materials and methods: The basis for analysis will be formed by standards and legal documents referring to the reforms of education process in Russia as well as statistical data. Data concerning the level of obtained knowledge by students, contents of various educational programmes and projects devoted to mutual relations of education and business in Russia’s economy were also used. Results: Key directions of transformation of educational activity from the perspective of the needs of Russian economy were presented. Innovative examples of approach securing efficiency of educational process were indicated. Conclusion: Research indicated the necessity of an integrated secondary and third level of education through defining competencies so that the scope of secondary school was directed mainly at cognitive actions and their further development which might be supplemented by further stages of educating.
