In 2007–2009, the effect of plants (spring barley, mixture of spring triticale with blue lupine, blue lupine in pure stand or spring rape) grown as previous crop and dose of nitrogen fertilization (40, 80, 120, 160 kg N/ha) on the health of leaves and heads of winter wheat was evaluated. Previous crop significantly affected the occurrence of brown rust of wheat and tan-spot, sometimes leaf blotch, glume blotch and powdery mildew. The lowest intensity of diseases occurred after mixture of triticale with blue lupine, the highest after remaining plants. Higher dose of nitrogen fertilization caused the increase of incidence of leaf blotch, glume blotch, brown rust, tan-spot and powdery mildew. Studied factors did not affect leaf and head infection by fungi from Fusarium genus.
