Results of our experiments are interpreted according to fertilizing system developed by long-term experiments and investigations. The potassium fertilization and favourable N/K ratio can increase the frost tolerance of generative organs of fruit trees to some extent. The effect of suitable growing site can surpass the effect of fertilizers. Frequently, the increase of phosphorus and potassium levels in the soil and leaves are relatively small comparing to amount of fertilizers, because of the strong fixation in the fertilized soil layer and – in other cases – leaching from root zone. Main soil characters should be taken into consideration to determine the favourable phosphorus, potassium levels in the soil. The excess of lime can be compensated by potassium fertilization to some extent, but on acid soils the NPK fertilization may be more effective – or effective at all – following lime or dolomite application.
The impact of mineral fertilization with or without multi-component fertilizers on the content of microelements in soil and spring triticale grains was investigated in field trials, in 2009-2011. The experiment was carried out on 8 fertilizing treatments with three replications, which included two varieties of spring triticale: Andrus and Milewo. The content of available zinc and manganese was higher on plots cropped with the cultivar Andrus and nitrogen fertilization with urea or with urea and ammonium nitrate. It was also found out that the content of available manganese, zinc and iron in the analyzed soils was within the natural average range. A higher content of manganese and zinc in grains was detected after the application of multi-component fertilizers. Nitrogen fertilization at a dose of 120 kg.ha-1 together with Azofoska and Ekolist resulted in an increase in the iron content in cv. Andrus. The regression analysis between the content of the analyzed microelements in soil and in triticale grains revealed a significant increase in the iron, manganese and zinc content in grains together with an increase in the content of these elements in soil under cv. Milewo. With respect to the zinc content in soil and in grain from this variety, the coefficient of determination was the closest to the coefficient of a linear correlation (R2 = 0.9105). It was shown that an increase in the content of microelements in soil was not always accompanied by an increase in the content of these elements in spring triticale grains.
This paper presents calculations based on results of a field experiment, in which selected potato cultivars grown for industrial processing received different fertilization. The data originated from trials on three potato cultivars: Adam, Pasja Pomorska and Ślęza, at set up at the Research Station in Bałcyny, owned by the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, and completed in 2008-2010. The economic analysis included planned and performed treatments as well as such information as the type of technical equipment, labour and draught force input, or material outlays. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the three starch potato cultivars responded differently to foliar fertilization. The cv. Pasja Pomorska yielded the highest under soil fertilization with 280 kg·haˉ¹ NPK (80 N, 80 P, 120 K) and foliar application of Basfoliar 12-4-6 in a dose of 8 dm3·haˉ¹. Considering the ratio of the yields to costs, cv. Ślęza was characterized by the best profitability index, which in every technological variant reached a value of over 2.0. From the point of view of rational economy, the most profitable was the fertilization combination which consisted of soil fertilization with 420 kg·haˉ¹ NPK (120 N, 144 P, 156 K) and foliar application of Basfoliar 12-4-6 with Solubor DF in amounts of 4 + 1 dm³·haˉ¹.
W pracy przedstawiono ocenę wpływu modyfikacji systemu nawożenia buraków cukrowych na zawartość sacharozy, technologiczny plon cukru, współczynnik alkaliczności i teoretyczny wydatek cukru. Doświadczenie prowadzono w dwu etapach (dwu latach) w trzech gospodarstwach.
Spontaneous parthenogenetic activation of bovine oocytes in an in vitro maturation and fertilization system (IVM/IVF) is described. Altogether, 1403 follicular oocytes, collected by the aspiration method, were matured in vitro and then cultured without insemination in the same conditions as a group of inseminated oocytes. After 48-72 h of additional culture, 141 oocytes (10%) were found to be spontaneously activated. Morphological evaluation revealed that the number of blastomeres within parthenotes ranged from 2 to 16 cells, with a minority (15.7%) comprising of 9-16 blastomeres. According to a cytogenetic analysis, only 1.2% of the analysed parthenotes consisted of more than 9 cells. Parthenotes may not be distinguished from embryos produced in vitro and spontaneous parthenogenetic activation in an IVM/IVF system indicates suboptimal culture conditions. A group of non-inseminated oocytes should be included in each experiment to serve as a control. Spontaneously activated bovine parthenotes only occasionaly developed beyond the 8-blastomere stage in a common IVM/IVF system. The incidence of parthenotes interferes with the efficiency of in vitro embryo production but it is doubtful whether it lowers the pregnancy rate after transfer of IVF embryos.

Wuxal w dolistnym nawozeniu ziemniakow

38%
Stwierdzono istotne ujemne zależności pomiędzy liczbą i masą chwastów a wielkością plonu bulw. Powietrznie sucha masa chwastów i ogólna liczba chwastów powodowała zwiększenie plonu bulw najdrobniejszych kosztem plonu bulw frakcji najcenniejszych (od 50 do 60 i powyżej 60 mm).
One recent advance in plant embryology is the experimental manipulation of various reproductive cells and their protoplasts under in vitro conditions. These experimental means may be helpful for understanding the developmental biology of sexual plant reproduction, on one hand, and developing novel methods in biotechnology, on the other. This article reviews a series of our works in this field. The article includes manipulation of pollen protoplasts, de-exined pollen, male gametoplasts and female gametoplasts. Each section starts with isolation of the cells/protoplasts and is followed by further manipulations such as culture, fusion, gene transfer, and also some cell biology studies based on and related to these manipulations.
