The taxonomie characters of the fore wings and antennae in Habrolepis dalmani (WESTWOOD, 1837) demonstrate a great variation. The characters of Habrolepis italicus DELUCCHI, 1965 fall within the range of this variation and that is the reason why the status of H. italicus as a good distinct species has not been proved sufficiently.
An interesting case of symmetric terathology of Polyphylla fullo antennae was described and illustrated. The author supposes the genetical background of the change.
The electroantennogram (EAG) method was used to record the responses of antennal olfactory receptors of Colorado beetle to volatile compounds of six potatoe cultivars. The different reactions could indicate that the system used by Colorado beetle in orientation towards host plant was selective. The highest sensitivity to general leaf vapours was obtained for Stobrawa and Jagoda cultivars of potatoes.
