“Biomass as a source of renewable energy used for heating of buildings”. The possibilities connected with the generation of renewable energy for heating of buildings were presented in this paper. The biomass was characterized and the analysis of biomass as a fuel was conducted. The ecological aspects of biomass combustion were discussed, as well as their comparison with conventional sources of energy.
"The analysis of the energy demand for heating and cooling of the house built on the basis of the modernised Canadian wood-frame construction". This study shows calculation of demand for power needed for heating and cooling of a house built in compliance with modernised Canadian wood-frame construction technology and by modern solutions of construction details connections. Conducted calculations prove that the passive house built of wood-based materials enables to achieve the highest efficiency of thermal power demand for heating the building.
