Les échantillons extraits des galets erratiques ordoviciens, appartenant à un représentant de l'ordre des Tuboidea - Dendrotubus erraticus n. sp. - ont permis, pour la première fois, d'étudier la sicule et de faire une analyse détaillée de l'astogenèse de la colonie. L'auteur arrive à la conclusion que la sicule de ce Graptolite est à différents égards plus primitive que les sicules des Dendroidea et des Graptoloidea - les seules connues jusqu'à présent. Elle a plusieurs traits communs avec la "vésicule embryonnaire" du Ptèrobranche récent - Rhabdopleura normani Allman. Les stolons de Dendrotubus erraticus n. sp. sont remarquables par la présence de diaphragmes vésiculaires. Le fossile décrit par l'auteur en 1959 sous le nom de Trimerohydra Kozł. correspond, selon toute probabilité, aux stolons d'un Graptolite voisin de Koremagraptus Bulman, 1944.

A new tuboid graptolite, Camarotubus graptocamaraeformis gen. et sp.n., is described from a calcareous erratic boulder of middle Ordovician (Caradoc?) age from Poland. This encrusting form combines characters of both the tuboid and the camaroid graptolites, and is regarded as a purely morphological intermediate between them. This finding supports Kozłowski's (1949) concept of a close phylogenetic relationship between the orders Tuboidea and Camaroidea.
