New faunistic records concerning 16 species of the family Anthicidae in Poland are given. First detailed records of Stricticollis tobias (MARSEUL) in Poland are reported.
New data concerning 12 rare species of Mordellidae collected in Poland are presented. Seven of them are reported for the first time from particular regions of Poland. Mordellistena dvoraki and M. kraatzi are new for Northern Poland. Two new localities of Mordellistena thurepalmi are discussed; the species appears to be widely distributed and it seems to be expanding. New records of very rare species Variimorda basaltis, Mordellistena brunneospinosa and M. falsoparvula are given.
Anthicus crinitus is recorded in the Polish Baltic coast. This species is cosmopolitan, although it has not been reported from Poland or the whole Baltic Region. The locality is the northernmost in its European range. A revised check-list of Anthicidae recorded from Poland is given.
The paper presents new data on the occurrence of three Tetratomidae and fifteen Melandryidae species in Radom, central Poland, and its environs.
New faunistic records concerning 14 species of Oedemeridae in Poland are given. Ischnomera sanguinicollis (FABR.) is recorded for the first time from the Wielkopolsko-Kujawska Lowland, and I. cyanea (FABR.) from Western Sudetes.
New faunistic records of 14 species of Mycetophagidae from Poland are given. Litargus balteatus and Typhaea stercorea are newly recorded from the Masurian Lake District. Litargus balteatus, Triphyllus bicolor and Typhaea stercorea are new for the Pomeranian Lake District. Mycetophagus fulvicollis is newly reported from the Mazowiecka Lowland and Trzebnickie Hills. Mycetophagus decempunctatus and M. multipunctatus are recorded for the first time from the Mazowiecka Lowland and Western Sudety Mts., respectively.
Based on an extensive survey of museum and private collections, distributional records of the Tetratomidae and Melandryidae in Poland are verified and updated. Collection data of nearly 2000 voucher specimens belonging to 35 species are listed. Two taxa are reported as new in Poland: Orchesia grandicollis and Dircaea australis. Due to unclear diagnoses, two species belonging to the genus Zilora were possible to identify only tentatively, and determination problems are discussed. Distributions of all 37 species of Tetratomidae and Melandryidae currently known to occur in Poland are summarized.
The monotypie genus Dasytomima (type species: D. rachelae sp. nov.) from southeastern Australia is described and illustrated, and its relationship to the Neotropical genus Polypria Chevrolat, 1874 is discussed. A cladistic analysis of these two taxa, nine exemplar genera of Oedemeridae, one genus each of Synchroidae and Stenotrachelidae, with 37 adult characters using Winclada/Nona produced two shortest trees, in which Calopus+Sparedrus, Dasytomimus+Polypria and the remaining oedemerid taxa form three monophyletic groups. Based on this analysis, Dasytomima and Polypria are placed in Polypriinae, subfam. nov., Calopodinae is recognized at the subfamily level, and all other oedemerid genera are placed in Oedemerinae; the monophyly of Nacerini+Ditylini is not supported.
New data on the occurrence of 6 species of Oedemeridae and 1 species of Scraptiidae in Poland are presented. Oedemera croceicollis is newly reported from the Masurian Lakeland and Podlasie, O. podagrariae and Ischnomera caerulea are reported for the first time from the Masurian Lakeland, Calopus serraticornis is new for the Pieniny Mts.
Mordellochroa milleri found in the Białowieża Primeval Forest, Anaspis bohemica found in Bory Tucholskie (Pojezierze Pomorskie Lakeland, North Poland) and Corticeus bicoloroides found in Upper Silesia and Beskid Wschodni Mts. (Western Carpathians) are new to the Polish fauna.
