Romincka Forest, devided by the border of Kaliningrad county of the Russian Federation has been a landscape park since January 1998. It was developed to preserve natural, historical, cultural and landscape values. Throughout centuries the forest was a natural boundary between the country of Teutonic Knights and Great Lithuanian Princedom. Since the 16th century it was colonised by Poles, Lithuanians and Germans. Ancient boreal vegetation has survived till today in this area. The author describes the beauty and wealth of the landscape and nature.
