The aim of the study conducted in the period of 2006–2007 in IHAR’s quarantine section was to determine a successive impact of plants grown in rotation with potato infested by Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus (Cms), acting as a host or a bactericide for the pathogen. The studies were designed to identify species of favourable bacteria for Cms survival in soil, or for limiting the influence on their presence. The obtained results allow to conclude that the application of rotation of potato infected by Cms: oats and volunteer potatoes grown from infected by Cms tubers, tomato, bean, potato, eggplant and beets, creates a risk of contamination for the cultivation of potatoes in the following year.
