Brasilochondria riograndensis Thatcher et Pereira, 2004 (Copepoda, Chondracanthidae) is redescribed based on newly collected material from the branchial cavity of flounder, Paralichthys orbignyanus (Valenciennes, 1842), from the coasts of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. A number of details were overlooked and some appendages were misidentified in original description and are included herein. These are: the distribution and the number of setae and spines in the antennule, the armature and segmentation of mandible, maxillule, maxilla, and maxilliped, pedigerous segments and genitoabdomen, in both, females and males. Moreover, the geographical distribution of this parasite species is broadened.

Blias marplatensis sp. nov. (Copepoda, Chondracanthidae) is described from adult specimens recovered from the red searobin Prionotus nudigula Ginsburg, 1950, from Mar del Plata, Argentina. Females of the new species differ from those of B. prionoti, the unique and type species of the genus, by the presence of processes and knobs in both head and trunk, the shape of branches of antenna, by relative size and setation of legs 1 and 2 and the shape of caudal rami. Males of the new species also differ from B. prionoti in the armature of accessory antenna and by having shorter and lobate legs with different setation.

A new species of a parasitic copepod, Acanthochondria helicoleni sp. nov. (Copepoda, Chondracanthidae), is described and illustrated from specimens collected within the branchial chambers of the rubio, Helicolenus lahillei Norman, 1937, from the Argentinean waters. The new species most closely resemble A. serrani Braicovich et Timi, 2009 collected in the same region, but differs in the general measurements and proportions of the body; primarily by the relative length of neck, shape of head, shape and size of genito-abdominal tagma and relative size of the trunk postero-lateral processes.

A new species of Acanthochondria (Copepoda, Poecilostomatoida, Chondracanthidae) parasitic on Brazilian codling Urophycis brasiliensis (Kaup, 1858) and the gulf hake U. mystaceus Ribeiro, 1903 from the Brazilian coastal zone, is described and illustrated. The new species of Acanthochondria differs from the other species of genus by a combination of characters that include shape of the head, shape of the trunk and size of the trunk posterior processes. This is the first record of Acanthochondria species from the South American Atlantic Ocean.
