In the article, there are presented the results of dynamic analysis of exports and imports of works of art in 15 countries of the European Union in 1996-2004. The analysis is based on the OECD data according to the foreign trade nomenclature, HS 1996. The author presented the changes in value of exports and imports of works of art in the time-and-spatial scheme. Moreover, in her article, the author discusses the share of the EU Member States in international exchange of works of art. A particular attention is paid to the relations of exports to imports of these goods both in individual UE Member States and in the European Union as a whole. Based on them, there are separated countries, for which value of exports of works of art was higher than that of imports thereof, and the countries where excess of imports over exports existed.
