In the paper there have been presented the results of a fi eld studies performed in 2001–2003 (carp breeding period), in order to establish the dynamism of the light conditions changes in a fi sh pond. The infl uence of shade caused by vegetation growing on the shore of the light conditions in the pond has been also analyzed. The results show a great changeability of the light conditions in a breeding period characterized by the tendency to worsen of the light conditions in the pond till the extreme conditions of a complete absorption of the sunlight by the surface layers of the pond water and, observed from the middle of June, 24 hours – night on the pond bottom.
Study carried out near Błędowska Desert revealed that the Hepatica nobilis Schreb. appears numerously in multi species shady forest. It grows on the soil of 6.9 pH, covered with mulch of 5.9 pH. Contamination of organic matter of those layers runs respectively: 3.6 and 6.0%. Salinity of both soil and mulch is low there and does not exceed 0.17 gKCl/dm³. Shallow laying Jurassic matrix rock and its rubble create a good permeable substratum with calcium easily available for plants. Hepatica tolerates extreme luminous conditions, it grows at 6% as well as at 84% of full illumination. In the natural habitat, apart from typical forms with dark blue flowers, other plants outstanding by ornamental value appear.
