More and more popular idea of ecological farming — which produces biologicaly valuable i.e. healthy food — is the cause for abandoning mineral fertilizing and chemical means for plants preservation. The effect of this return to nature is decrease in crops and increase in costs of production. This is happening while every third man suffers undernutrition and millions are starving. In the western experts opinion all Polish agriculture can be treated as ecological one. While they appreciate the merits of biodynamic methods in our farming authors see the future for production of healthy food in rational use of chemical means, in abiding by the rules of agrotehny, in setting organisational structures of agriculture in order and in doing away with industrial pollution.
