Insulation boards from thermoplastic bonded bark. Within this work, boards from thermoplastic bonded bark were made. Grinded bark of coniferous species and recycled polyethylene were used. Four variants of boards were manufactured: three of varying polyethylene weight ratio: 30, 40 and 50%, and fourth UF resin bonded. Assumed density of boards was 300 kg/m3, and thickness of 18 mm. Manufactured boards were examined for density, thermal properties, MOR, and swelling. Research has shown that production of insulation boards from PE bonded bark is possible. With the increase in thermoplastic weight ratio, thermal insulation of boards decreases, and their mechanical properties increases.
