Polistes dominulus (CHRIST, 1791) is included under the name Polistes gallicus (LINNAEUS, 1767) to the Polish Red List as a critically endangered species. The species was recently found on some new localities in Poland, mainly in open and xeric, anthropogenic habitats, but also on a meadow in a peaty forest. The authors suggest reassessment of the category of threat of P. dominulus as it seems to be common and expansive in appropriate biotopes.
