Modern construction planning requires taking into account some elements of probabilistics. In this work the element of time risk is treated carefully. Moreover some aspects of theoretical bases of CCMP method, which is a continuation of critical chain method are discussed in this article. The practical side of this method is presented on example of construction schedule of Metro station A19 Marymont in Warsaw.
This article describes basics of Critical Chain concept and Buffer Management, as well as an approach to project management that comes from the Theory of Constraints. CCPM is a method with based on this particular concept. The article points out how to define place and the size of buffers to protect the due date and the critical chain of building object while preserving their specificity. This information were presented in concrete computational example of “Globis” office building in Wrocław.
