Jednoczynnikowe doświadczenie polowe, będące podstawą badań, założono metodą losowanych bloków, w trzech powtórzeniach, na glebie płowej właściwej, klasy bonitacyjnej III b. Czynnikiem doświadczenia, w którym uprawiano owies odmiany Komes, był rodzaj nawożenia mikroelementowego. Stosowano dolistnie pojedyncze mikroelementy (Zn, Mn, Cu, B, Mo) w formie soli nieorganicznych oraz wieloskładnikowy nawóz Mikrochelat Gama, zawierający pierwiastki w formie schelatowanej. Wykazano, że zastosowane nawożenie największy wpływ wywierało na zawartość potasu w ziarnie owsa. W wyniku dolistnego stosowania miedzi, cynku i molibdenu stwierdzono istotny wzrost średniej zawartości tego pierwiastka - w porównaniu z obiektem nienawożonym - odpowiednio o 8,0%, 8,2% i 7,5%. Wykazano, że tylko nawożenie wieloskładnikowym nawozem Gama powodowało istotne zwiększenie zawartości magnezu w ziarnie owsa, średnio o 13,1%. Natomiast nawożenie mikroelementami na ogół nie różnicowało istotnie zawartości sodu i wapnia w ziarnie owsa. Zastosowanie miedzi powodowało - w porównaniu z obiektem kontrolnym - statystycznie potwierdzony wzrost stosunku sumy kationów jedno- do dwuwartościowych, natomiast konsekwencją nawożenia wieloskładnikowym nawozem Gama było zmniejszenie wartości tej relacji.
