The paper presents 23 new localities of Colobopsis truncata from Wrocław, two localities from other locations in Lower Silesia (Ruda Milicka and Chwalęcin), and one from the Opole region (Brzeg). Most of the localities come from well-sunlit places overgrown with old oaks. However, studies have shown that C. truncata also establishes colonies in young specimens of native oaks and in debarked or dead fragments of red oaks (Q. rubra). Additionally, foraging individuals were observed on sycamore maple (A. pseudoplatanus), white poplar (P. alba), Canadian poplar (P. × canadensis), black alder (A. glutinosa), silver birch (B. pendula), maple plane (P. × acerifolia), and elm (Ulmus spp.). Observations also confirm that these ants use for nesting or nest entrances existing holes made by other insects.
