The estimation of possible economic effects as to the integration of Ukraine into the European Union has been made on the basis of public-opinion-poll method. Essentially, 1112 people involved into the poll answered 15 questions. Nearly 47% of respondents estimated the possible effects of Ukraine’s integration for the most part positively, 17% - negatively and 36% couldn’t adequately decide between. The conducted poll has shown that although the majority of respondents supports the eurointegration but, drawing on the experience of some countries joined the EU a year ago and primarily Poland, they do expect some negative aspects of this process. Fluctuating home-country economic situation, incompliance with economic, social and democratic eurostandards, the lack of adequate and true information about the advantages and disadvantages of eurointegration process are mainly responsible for Ukraine’s postponing to join the European Union.
