Blacodatus szutkowskii, sp. nov. from South Africa is described, illustrated and compared with its relative - Blacodatus vertagus (Mulsant et Rey, 1859). A new generic concept of the previously monotypie Blacodatus is proposed. The distribution map is presented.

Species groups in the genus Parastizopus Gebien, 1938 (Coleoptera, Tenebrionidae)

The taxonomie concepts of endemic South African genera Parastizopus Gebien, 1938 and Ennychiatus Koch, 1963 are verified. The results of the study are based on the comparative morphological analysis and gave the following decisions: (1) new concept of the Parastizopus is based on the discontinuous and unambiguous diagnostic characters, (2) all species of the Ennychiatus belong to the genus Parastizopus; (3) the name Ennychiatus should be treated as a junior synonym of Parastizopus; (4) the following new combination are proposed: Parastizopus nocturnus (Koch, 1963), P. caraboides (Fairmaire, 1897), P. namaquanus (Koch, 1963), P. fitzsimonsi (Koch, 1963). The division of the Parastizopus into the following species groups is proposed: armaticeps (3 species), caraboides (4) and major (3). New species P. johannae sp. nov. from Southern Africa is diagnosed, described and illustrated. A checklist and the identification key is provided to all known species of Parastizopus.

The genus Planostibes Gemminger et Harold, 1870 belongs to subtribe Stizopina Lacordaire, 1859 which consists of endemic genera distributed in southern Africa and Madagascar. Five new species of Planostibes are described: P. bogdanowiczi, P. kaminskii, P. khoikhoi, P. longitibialis and P. schawalleri.

Crististibes Koch, 1963 (type species: Planostibes binodosus Gebien, 1920) is revised and illustrated. The genus belongs to monophyletic stizopoid group which consists of endemic genera distributed in southern Africa. New species are described: Crististibes tuberculatus and C. ugabensis. Key for species determination is provided. The genus Crististibes consists of three species distributed in Namibia.

The catalogue of all known World genera and species of the subtribe Stizopina is presented; 21 genera, 95 species and subspecies are listed. The data of primary types and distributional maps for known species and subspecies are included. The type species are designated for the following genus-group names: Blacodes Mulsant et Rey, 1859 (Pedinus sulcatus Laporte de Castelnau, 1840) and Planodes Mulsant et Rey, 1859 (Planodes byrroides Mulsant et Rey, 1859). Incertae sedis taxa are listed separately.
