Subject and purpose of work: This work is devoted to presenting the development of the systemic paradigm in marketing science. Its purpose is to discuss the genesis and early stages of the development of systemic paradigm that forms the basis of one of its mainstream marketing theories, known as macromarketing. Materials and methods: The article was created on the basis of the review and synthesis of the previous studies devoted to the issue of systemic approach to marketing and marketing systems. The historical analysis method, combined with the synthesis of earlier research achievements, was employed. Results: The article fills a gap in the area of identifying alternative paradigms of marketing science. It demonstrates how the systemic approach proposed by the forerunners of marketing was developed into a concept which is now the foundation of one of contemporary marketing sub-disciplines - macromarketing. Conclusions: The main conclusion that follows from the conducted analysis is the observation that systemic paradigm is deeply ingrained in the tradition of marketing thought, creating a prominent direction of reflection which is more concerned with the environmental and social role of marketing than with marketing as a management function.
Our paper presents natural environment functions in a systemic approach. Its main principle is to consider a problem as a whole and to perceive reality in the same way. This approach is implicated by the crisis of reductionism in explaining natural, social and economical processes and phenomena, as well as by still rising and intensifying consequences of human interference in the environment. The synthesis of ecology rules and the most important features of complex dynamic systems implicate the statement that balance in the environment is a special state rather than a destination state because natural systems undergo continuous evolutional changes. The existence of feedback makes the changes either run gently and die out or take a catastrophic course and leave the control of societies interfering in the environment. The systemic approach to natural enviroment functioning presented in this paper suggests taking care in its economical application and forming. In theoretical consideration it has been pointed out how economical societies should shape their relations with the environment so that they become the basis for sustainable development.
Subject and purpose of work: The subject matter of this paper includes selected examples of tools applied in systems analysis and strategic analysis in relation to the influence of their results on the forms of cooperation between business entities. The study is aimed at provoking a deeper thought on the outcomes of the lack of a system-based approach on the effects of cooperation, and consequently at reducing the negative experience arising from the lack of understanding of the conditions affecting the expected results. Materials and methods: This publication is an overview of the issue based on the interpretation and synthesis of the available literature on the subject. Results: The author suggests that the specific conditions, starting from the impact of the broad geopolitical surroundings, the current government policy, legal regulations, culture circles, market development stage or a partner’s place in the production chain, through customs, procedures, processes, intra-organisational standards, affect not only the culture of the organisation itself, but also its reputation and financial result. Conclusions: The influence of the new “virtual” sphere of economic contacts, as a vital element of strategic analysis, was stressed.
