В колхозном хозяйстве "Сребрна Дабровка" проведено 2 серии опытов в 1982 и 1983 годах на цыплятах бройлерах для определения эффективности скармливания смесей составленных с домашних кормов. В смесях стартер и финишер вместо кукурузы вводили ячмень, пшеницу и рожь, а частично и вполне вместо соевого шрото вводили рапсовый шрот, дрожжи, мясо-костную муку и кровляную муку. Цыплята с опытных групп были на 1 до 10% легче и на 2 до 15% хуже использовали корм чем цыплята кормлены кукурузно-соевой смесью. Окончательный экономический результат скармливания кормовых смесей из домашних кормов был худший чем после смесей содержащих кукуруз и соевой шрот.
The experiments were made on 180 weaners in order to utilize in the pig fattening large proportions of dehydrated forages obtained from whole maize plants, alfalfa and sugar beets, and to determine to what extent these feeds may replace the cereals. The fattening pigs were divided into three different nutritional groups: I - control, II - with ground grain as basic feed and III - with sugar beet meal as basic feed. Each of these groups consisted of two subgroups: the subgroup L received the alfalfa meal, while the subgroup K was fed with the maize meal. The further division was made by use of different meal levels which were in the first group initially 5% and 7% in the second period. In the second and third group the meal levels uere 10, 20 and 25%. The meal quantity was increased by 5% in the second period. The protein concentrate "Prowit" was used as the protein feed. The digestibility and nitrogen balance of the used mixed feed have been determined. The fattening results for the groups receiving ground grain (second group) or sugar beet meal (third group) and large quantities of alfalfa or maize meal were very unfavourable. The growth rate significantly decreased and the feed efficiency was lower. No considerable changes in growth rate were observed during second fattening period. The feeding of fattening pigs on mixed feed containing sugar beet meal large quantities of alfalfa or maize meal enabled to save 71.8% of ground grain, however, the consumption of protein concentrate increased by 69%. As the meal proportion in the mixed feed increased, the quantity of ground grain decreased from 6.2 up to 14.5%. The maize meal - when compared to the alfalfa meal - enabled to save the ground grain consumption by 7.3%, however, the protein concentrate consumption increased by 23%. The meal obtained from whole maize plants has lower protein content than the alfalfa meal and should not be used for fattening pigs, since slightly better results were obtained only owing to much larger quantities of protein concentrate given to fattening pigs. The sugar beet meal has improved the carcass conformation and nitrogen retention. The mixed feeds containing quantities of alfalfa or maize meal have not improved the carcass quality.
