There were no doubts that process of privatization of the animal health service in Poland is necessary. However, it was realized by virtue of administrative and arbitrary decisions. As a result there appeared new problems, not only organizational in nature and praxeological but also deontological and ethical ones. The author discusses these problems and substantiates a need for the following changes of the animal health service: 1. an increase of professional responsibility, 2. an improvement of diagnostical support system and 3. changing of system of professional training and retraining. In the article ethical and deontological problems are also discussed.
