The experiment was conducted in a standard free standing greenhouse in Tuchola, in private horticulture. The influence of tomato cultivation method (on one and two shoots) and substratum (used substratum and newly prepared one) on yielding and quality of tomato grafted on He-man stock was investigated. The Dutch Raissa F₁ cultivar (bred by S&G Seeds) was used. The harvest of fruits lasted from 28 June and the culture was removed on the 3rd of November. The experiment proved, that the yield of tomato did not depend significantly on the kind of substratum. Growing tomato on one shoot improved the crop (plants created more fruit bunches and the yield of fruits increased on average by 6.25 kg·m⁻²). This method of growing plants gave significantly higher early crop of fruits, by 3.24 kg·m⁻² in comparison to the yield of tomatoes cultivated on two shoots. In autumn the plants cultivated on one shoot yielded by 3.00 kg·m⁻² higher at better quality of fruits.
