In the present study of Jasminum sambac ethnobotanical and pharmacognostical activity of Jasminum sambac leaf .These species of highly medicinal purpose flowers, leaves act as lactifuge, arrest the secretion of milk in the puerperal state in case of threatened abscess pharmacognostical study of leaf parts of Jasminum sambac has been undertaken, hence it is establish. Pharmacognostical and quality control parameters of leaf, of Jasminum sambac was carried out. Various microscopic characters viz., transverse section of leaf, quantitative parameters (stomatal number, stomatal index, and vein-islet and termination number) were determined for the identification of plant material. Powder microscopic studies, were also performed. Physicochemical parameters such as total Ash(13.5%), water soluble ash (6.7%) and acidinsoluble ash (8.2 %)Alcohol soluble extractive(30%) Water soluble extractive(11.8%)Moisture content(6.19%)Crude fibre content(15.1%)Swelling index (1)and Foaming index (Lessthan 100).
The present investigation has been carried out to find the ethno medicinal value of plants in Thanjuvur District of Tamil Nadu, India. This study of ethno medicinal value of plants and cure the various disease of around the Thanjuvur District. Ancient methods of treatment by ethno medicinal value of various types of trees, shrubs, herbs and underground modification such as root, stem, bark, leaves, flowers, fruits and seed. This article describes an investigation into the seasonal variations of frequency, damping ratio and amplitude of swaying and vibration of Norway maple Acer platanoides L. The study was carried through a series of pull andrelease experiments in situ andon branches in the laboratory using an artificial air flow. It was foundthat foliatedtrees hada natural sway frequency that was on average 1.6±0.2 times greater than in the out-of-leaf state. In contrast, the damping ratio of maple increased by 1.5±0.3 times in the summer period. The stem swaying initiatedvibrations, i.e. elastic wave, in the roots with frequencies in the range of 45–50 Hz. Laboratory tests showed that the vibration amplitude of branches depended linearly on leaf mass for an air flow velocity of 1.94 m/s.
The paper presents a list of plant species with medicinal properties growing in fallows in the Karczmiska commune. The study was carried out in the years 2004-2006; based on phytosociological records using Braun-Blanquet method. Herbal raw material, geographical and historical group, living form, phytosociological unit and stability degree were specified for each species. There were 131 medicinal plants found in the studied area, including 45 species used in Polish official medicine. The research results show that: 1) with regard to their biological type, a majority of medicinal species belonged to hemicryptophytes; 2) the most numerous group in the flora of the studied fallows consisted of native species i.e. apophytes; 3) a vast majority of the herbs were rare species that occurred in less than 20% records.
