In a field experiment carried out in 2003/04 and 2004/05 growing season in the Agricultural Experimental Station Grabów on the Vistula river, Mazovia Province, the influence of foliar nutrition of winter wheat and oilseed rape with mixed micronutrient fertilizers (Plonvit Z/R) on the volume and quality of grain yield of wheat and rape seed was studied. The fertilizers were used alongside balanced basic fertilization. Wheat and oilseed rape plants nourished with Plonvit Z/R produced a significantly higher yield as compared to plants from the control plots, which were not supplied with this fertilizer. Feeding winter wheat with Plonvit Z invariably led to an increase in protein and wet gluten in grain. However, Plonvit R did not have any positive impact on the content of crude fat in oilseed rape seeds. The content of Fe, Cu, Zn, Mn, B, Mo in wheat grain did not change much under the effect of the nutrition with the fertilizer. However, in seeds of oilseed rape there was a small increase in the concentration of some analyzed micronutrients versus the control objects, which were not subject to foliar nutrition.
