In the article, there are presented situations of breach of the consumer's rights in the market for bank credits. The consumer's rights are breached as early as in credit advertising (misleading formulations in ads, presentation of indebtedness in a too optimistic light), and the greatest number of situations of breach of rights occur in contracts drawn by the bank. Despite the regulations contained in the Act on Consumer Credit, controls have revealed that also in the contracts related to such credits, there are numerous disputable entries. Moreover, he consumer's rights are breached while drawing mortgage credits (not covered by the said act). Struggle against breach of the consumer's rights, consumer consultancy and assistance in course of law creation are dealt in Poland by public and social organisations protecting the consumer's rights.
