Agroforestry, an English term accepted all over the world, serves to define the simultaneous land use by agriculture and forestry. As a rule, this term refers to tropical crops which cannot withstand a direct exposure to solar radiation. Silvopastoral, a variant of this method, is a forest/pastoral land use applied in moderate climatic zone. The authors present advantages and benefits of this system which has been already widely introduced in Western Europe.
